Possible Aims

Description of the new website in non-technical terms

What does the site need to offer, if we want to get more people involved?

• We tell them how everything started started (Herstory)
• We give them a GCA-in-Box (another summercamp on that?)
• We give them a philosophy (Manifesto)

Who can be part of the Genderchangers website: (Create an Account/Registerform)

• We want to have a "face" of those women (Profile Pages )
• We want to know women who identify with our philosophy. (manifesto).
• We want women who share their skills with us and offer them to others (Howtos*)

(* we need another summercamp or look at other manuals (floss manuals, etc) to find out what makes a useful "howto" ! You are welcome to invite us. (Futureplans and Cross Pollinations)

• We want to share which FLOSS software, which hardware has worked for our purposes, and what did not work out and why?
• We want to share our critique of ICT, tech from our point of view.
• A section provides information about where the next /etc is taking place

(Blog-Story)

• We would love to have images of how different women are working together (Showroom=Gallery)
• Users on the web can also get in touch with us (Contact)
• Members who do not know how to use IRC can connect over the website, although the "howto IRC" can also be found in another section (Chat)

Optional:

If local workshops are to be announced (e.g. in Rotterdam), then we also need a Content Type indicating a date, starting time, duration, location. (Event-Story/workshop-Story)

Note: We are still quite unsure about using FACEBOOK, and other Social Network Sites to get in touch with women who might be interested in joining and contributing something.

Resumee /etc Website

Aims

The /etc is a "genderchanger roadshow". Its event driven. The website is for participants and organisers of the event. Its also an archive of activities. Organisers of an /etc are welcome to use our site to put up their /etc event site. We need to have a good working structure to provide this service. It's important to have this service on the /etc site both to keep things together and for groups that may have no other possibility for putting up a website. Of course groups with the resources and will can put up their own site somewhere else so long as the site refers to the /etc site.

Users on /etc 

• Of course we also want to know who was participating in an /etc.(Create an Account as Registration Form)
• We want to have a "face" of those women who will be part of a /etc (Profile Pages)

We have different User Roles here as well 

• admin
• organisers (limited admin rights)
• Contributers/Participants
• What else?

Content of the /etc site 

The content includes activities during the event and needs a date, a starting time and duration, location. Workshops, Hacklabs, BOFs etc. (event-story)

• Content which is done during the /etc (Blog-story)

Text, Images, Audio, pdfs,....

• Materials you need to set up a /etc @ xy

Letters, to do lists, registration form, evaluation form.

Communication 

• A Forum could be helpful for preparations
• also a Chat-Option (Chat)
• maling-lists

Possibilities for remote participation to be part of the /etc, which are accessible through the web site (e.g. joining the irc channel, web cam, etc) & some documentation of things happening eg blogs, photo gallery, for remote participants to see.
